The concept of rentjewels.com is a unique one that provides customers with the option to rent jewelry online from the site itself. As part of an extension of a portal we made for Taruna Biyani, a specific set of her products had to be available for rental.
What were our challenges?
The goal was to create a platform that allowed buyers to book jewelry pieces on a limited basis. For each jewelry piece, there was a booking fee and a security deposit required to be paid by the person looking to rent it.Admin get more info wanted buyers to be able to sort, search, or rent products based on category, as well as a period of their choosing.
The Resolution
The website provided admins with a means of managing their daily product listings, deactivating products, and processing orders.The system recorded who bought what and how long it would take to return it.Automated reminders and expiry lists were provided to clients and administrators.An automatic recalculation of the amount due from the buyer was performed if a delay in return occurred.
